A new patch for Goat Simulator was just released that includes Local Multiplayer, along with an entirely new area to explore! I’m joined by Frag today as we explore everything this zany new world offers.
This game, developed by Coffee Stain Studios, was initially a “proof of concept” test to allow them to see how physics and game objects worked in their engine for a separate project all together. To test that, on a whim, they decided to toss a Goat in the engine and just play. Video of this “Goat Simulator” was released as a joke online but was so well-received that people were begging them to actually release it so they could play the ludicrous game.
Upon starting the game you are immediately thrown into the roll of a goat who does goat-things. You Baa, you headbutt, you lick things, and occasionally strap on a makeshift jetpack made from gas canisters cobbled together with wood and duct tape. The game is ridiculous, stupid, glitchy as all hell and unnecessarily fun.
